Watch

8-For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles; these are the beginnings of sorrows.
12-Now the brother shall betray the brother to death, and the father the son; and children shall rise up against their parents, and shall cause them to be put to death.
33-Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is.
34-For the Son of man is as a man taking a far journey, who left his house, and gave authority to his servants, and to every man his work, and commanded the porter to watch.
35-Watch ye therefor: for ye know not when the master of the house cometh, at even, or at midnight, or at the cockcrowing, or in the morning:
36-Lest coming suddenly he find you sleeping.
37-And what I say unto you I say unto all, Watch.
Mark 13

Faith

Hebrews 11:1
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:25
Choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God, than to enjoy the pleasures of sin for a season;

Psalm 40:4 Blessed is that man that maketh the LORD his trust, and respecteth not the proud, for such as turn aside to lies.

The Constitution Party Candidates did it again! What you say? They showed us what real men (that look to God) stand for!
We had a great time going to the Constitution Party meeting in Kansas City. Mr. Baldwin was running late because of a hold over due to bad weather. No matter, things went on! Our girls got asked before hand to sing the Pledge of Allegiance Song. (no I'm not going to be overly proud here, but WOW! ) So they didn't get to sing for a possible president of the US, but vise president candidate is very cool!
I didn't get to listen to much of the speaking, but my husband got to hear it all. Mr. Hubby, is not an easy man to please, so if he walks away feeling positive from you, your doing good! Mr. Hubby was very pleased with Mr. Castle. (VP candidate) "He really knows his stuff. This man is on top of it." And he was very pleased with Chuck Baldwin, too.
They gave real answers to the peoples questions. They tell you what they really think about the issue and a CLEAR answer on what they think should be done about the problem.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I must tell you, there is one really good drawback to being in the hall with a little one at these meetings. I got to meet Chuck Baldwin before everyone else even knew he was there! He let me take a picture of him and his wife and I got to shake hands with Mr. Baldwin. He looked me right in the eyes and asked me what my name was! and then I fainted.................well not really, but I was thinking how cool this moment was! (the bad thing is that my husband is never with me during these moments because he is in the meetings;-( I also got to speak with Mrs. Baldwin. I got to personally give her a small gift that I had brought for both of the wives and visit a bit with her. Let me tell you, she would make the White House look good! She was nicer than nice. I felt unworthy to be using her time! I was thankful to be able to tell her that it's the women of these men that I have a special prayer for, also. The whole family really has to be strong for these men. I don't know how well I would handle my hubby being gone so much and going to all these sort of events. I just wanted to tell her that my family really appreciates what her husband is working for, and that it takes a good women to to be a helper to such a man.
After the meeting we (as a family this time) got to meet Mr. Baldwin. He signed every sign that each child had made. And I got to take a pic. with Mr. Castle, too.
We will put this down as another "wild" 2008 adventure!
**pics later, sorry, they are on the camera memory and I have to switch that over to the computer**
CONSTITUTION PARTY
Today we are going to Kansas City to see the Constitution Party candidates for President and Vice President!!! Chuck Baldwin is who we are voting for Hope For America. Why?
-Because we believe in Freedom
-We like America being America as it was founded
-Less Government control all around!
-A man that answers to God
-We want jobs back in America
-We want our borders protected
-We want our solders here! protecting us on our soil!
-We want the government to stop letting private banks print up money out of thin air!
-We want someone who stands on something and stays strong!
*McCain is not a true Christian. He believes in evolution!
He twist what he stands for all the time. His voting record is not strong! One year he is for it, next year against. I don't trust that.
He is a member of the CFR, which is working to unite Canada, Mexico, and America as one! They are also very much for pushing the whole Global Warming lie. Yes, I did say lie. The facts behind global warming are twisted. (which is a lie!)
McCain is for the Patriot Act, which gives the government the right to listen to your phone calls, without you knowing. It give the government the right to come into my house without a permit and without me being home and without me even knowing they were here! Now if you can find good in that than you need to show it to me, because I see that as pure control!
The government can also take my cars from me, our animals, our food, our ways of protecting our family, and anything else they see fit to take- if a state of emergency is declared. Sorry, but I think we should be able to protect our families if America is in a state of emergency!!!
**Well, that's is just a few reasons we are voting for Constitution Party. We will be putting our Hope in God, because His Word says we should follow truth. His Word says that we should trust in Him and that He will bless a nation that turns to Him. I think that that means not voting for the "fat cats", and putting our vote for the men that will look to God for guidance.
(not just fill us with empty words of "hope" and "change", with out really telling us what he has planned) God never tells us to do what is most popular. God tells us to seek wisdom! I hope you will take the time to look into a Party for America http://www.constitutionparty.com/
**tell me what you don't agree with after you look up the party platform!
Homemade Cough Syrup
Here's a recipe to cure a cough!
Take 30 garden snails and 30 Earth Worms of middling sise, bruise ye snails and wash them and ye worms in fair water, cut ye worms in pieces. Boil these in a quart of Spring water to a pint. Pour it boiling hot on 2 ounces of Candied Eringo root sliced thin. When it is cold strain it thro' a flannel bag. Take a quarter of a pint of it warm, with an Equal quantity of Cow's Milk. Continue this course till well.
The Reseipt Book of Mrs. Ann Blencowe, 1694 (with original spelling)
.....or you could try this one.....
Take a half pound of the best honey and squeeze the juice of four lemons upon it; mix well together, and add a small portion of sugar candy. A teaspoonful may be taken every time the cough is troublesome, and in a short time, a cure will be effected.
Feminist vs. virtuous women
As I study the feminist movement, and how it has touched my life -in ways far beyond my knowings- I would like to share some of my findings with other ladies. I must say, I find it hard to visit with others on this topic. Some just won't agree, some just don't want to go past skin deep on the issue, and others just want to stay blind. Me, I am amazed at what I learn-I am eager to share.
Right now I would like to share a passage from French author and feminist Simone de Beauvoir. She has a warning to fellow feminist about being successful in their agenda.
"No woman should be authorized to stay at home and raise her children. Society should be totally different. Women should not have that choice, precisely because if there is such a choice, too many women will make that one."
-----Her goal here is to destroy "maternity and maternity instincts."
While we have not gotten to a point were young wives are forced to leave the home to join the work force, we have gotten to a time were it is looked down on. While it may seem acceptable for a season, (while children are under the age of preschool- which could be 3-4 years old)often peers are interested in what you plan to do when the children are grown. (off to school!)
I can't tell you how often I have felt the look of pity on me! The look of, "You poor soul, bearing those children, having no college education! Being stuck in the house with all those children , EVERY day! Oh, I hope my daughter isn't getting ideas from you!" Sure nobody really says it, but ones eyes can say a lot sometimes.
So here is a thought to think on, and Mrs. Patterson, homemaker and adjunct faculty member of the Criswell College, points out society's double standard to a tee: "...much of the world would agree that being a housekeeper is acceptable as long as you are not caring for your own home; treating men with attentive devotion would also be right as long as the man is the boss in the office and not your husband; caring for children would even be deemed heroic service for which presidential awards could be given as long as the children are someone else's and not your own."
Don't bother telling me that this is not how the world we live in now portrays the females role. I think we all know it has gotten so bad--xo
"Tyranny, like hell, is not easily conquered; yet we have this consolation with us, that the harder the conflict, the more glorious the triumph. ...The cause of America is the cause of all mankind. Where say some, is the King of America? I'll tell you, friend, He reigns above. ..."
Thomas Paine (1737-1809)
