Dear Lord, help me to be a true
Homemaker!
May I have the strength and the will to do the humble tasks, that make a house a fit abode for my loved ones. Clean floors, shining china, dainty curtains, clean sheets, good food, a cheery fire-may my willing hands make these things possible.
But Father, let me remember that man does not live by bread alone, that material things but make a proper setting for life's real treasures of mind and spirit. Give me patience and understanding and kindness and humor and love in abundance, and charity for all. May the spirit of happiness, of joys and sorrows shared, of unity, of the peace that passeth understanding linger here! Help me to keep the path to Thee open and easy to find for the little ones in my keeping. And let there be laughter here.
And last, dear Lord, help me to remember the stranger without the door. May there be warmth enough on our hearth to share with him.
Is this too much for one so weak, so full of faults as I, to ask? At least it can be a goal toward which to strive, and to Thee all things are possible. Amen

up and down

Does it make you

wonder why the cost of gold has gone so crazy over the past few years? And the last year just crazy nuts! HHMMM does it have anything to do with our dollar being worth nothing?? I wonder. I wonder what our Presidential candidates would say on this matter??????
This might all sound really good to most people. But we need to take a deeper look into this. It makes it sound like this is all for "helping Americans". But it can be very easily used against us. What if Americans, whom have decided to speak out against Government corruption is the problem?
If while reading this no part of you is shocked or a little upset,,,,,,get your pulse checked, make sure you are still alive! This is a word of caution to you and your alarm going off, telling you to wake up!!!! Read your Constituion! Be Informed! Get active!
3rd Infantry’s 1st BCT trains for a new dwell-time mission. Helping ‘people at home’ may become a permanent part of the active Army
By Gina Cavallaro - Staff writerPosted : Monday Sep 8, 2008 6:15:06 EDT

The 3rd Infantry Division’s 1st Brigade Combat Team has spent 35 of the last 60 months in Iraq patrolling in full battle rattle, helping restore essential services and escorting supply convoys.
Now they’re training for the same mission — with a twist — at home.
Beginning Oct. 1 for 12 months, the 1st BCT will be under the day-to-day control of U.S. Army North, the Army service component of Northern Command, as an on-call federal response force for natural or manmade emergencies and disasters, including terrorist attacks.
It is not the first time an active-duty unit has been tapped to help at home. In August 2005, for example, when Hurricane Katrina unleashed hell in Mississippi and Louisiana, several active-duty units were pulled from various posts and mobilized to those areas.
But this new mission marks the first time an active unit has been given a dedicated assignment to NorthCom, a joint command established in 2002 to provide command and control for federal homeland defense efforts and coordinate defense support of civil authorities.
After 1st BCT finishes its dwell-time mission, expectations are that another, as yet unnamed, active-duty brigade will take over and that the mission will be a permanent one.
“Right now, the response force requirement will be an enduring mission. How the [Defense Department] chooses to source that and whether or not they continue to assign them to NorthCom, that could change in the future,” said Army Col. Louis Vogler, chief of NorthCom future operations. “Now, the plan is to assign a force every year.”
The command is at Peterson Air Force Base in Colorado Springs, Colo., but the soldiers with 1st BCT, who returned in April after 15 months in Iraq, will operate out of their home post at Fort Stewart, Ga., where they’ll be able to go to school, spend time with their families and train for their new homeland mission as well as the counterinsurgency mission in the war zones.
Stop-loss will not be in effect, so soldiers will be able to leave the Army or move to new assignments during the mission, and the operational tempo will be variable.
Don’t look for any extra time off, though. The at-home mission does not take the place of scheduled combat-zone deployments and will take place during the so-called dwell time a unit gets to reset and regenerate after a deployment.
The 1st of the 3rd is still scheduled to deploy to either Iraq or Afghanistan in early 2010, which means the soldiers will have been home a minimum of 20 months by the time they ship out.
In the meantime, they’ll learn new skills, use some of the ones they acquired in the war zone and more than likely will not be shot at while doing any of it.
They may be called upon to help with
civil unrest and crowd control or to deal with potentially horrific scenarios such as massive poisoning and chaos in response to a chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear or high-yield explosive, or CBRNE, attack.
Training for homeland scenarios has already begun at Fort Stewart and includes specialty tasks such as knowing how to use the “jaws of life” to extract a person from a mangled vehicle; extra medical training for a CBRNE incident; and working with U.S. Forestry Service experts on how to go in with chainsaws and cut and clear trees to clear a road or area.
The 1st BCT’s soldiers also will learn how to use “the first ever nonlethal package that the Army has fielded,” 1st BCT commander Col. Roger Cloutier said, referring to crowd and traffic control equipment and nonlethal weapons designed to subdue unruly or dangerous individuals without killing them.
“It’s a new modular package of nonlethal capabilities that they’re fielding. They’ve been using pieces of it in Iraq, but this is the first time that these modules were consolidated and this package fielded, and because of this mission we’re undertaking we were the first to get it.”
The package includes equipment to stand up a hasty road block; spike strips for slowing, stopping or controlling traffic; shields and batons; and, beanbag bullets.
“I was the first guy in the brigade to get Tasered,” said Cloutier, describing the experience as “your worst muscle cramp ever — times 10 throughout your whole body.
“I’m not a small guy, I weigh 230 pounds ... it put me on my knees in seconds.”
The brigade will not change its name, but the force will be known for the next year as a CBRNE Consequence Management Response Force, or CCMRF (pronounced “sea-smurf”).
“I can’t think of a more noble mission than this,” said Cloutier, who took command in July. “We’ve been all over the world during this time of conflict, but now our mission is to take care of citizens at home ... and depending on where an event occurred, you’re going home to take care of your home town, your loved ones.”
While soldiers’ combat training is applicable, he said, some nuances don’t apply.
“If we go in, we’re going in to help American citizens on American soil, to save lives, provide critical life support, help clear debris, restore normalcy and support whatever local agencies need us to do, so it’s kind of a different role,” said Cloutier, who, as the division operations officer on the last rotation, learned of the homeland mission a few months ago while they were still in Iraq.
Some brigade elements will be on call around the clock, during which time they’ll do their regular marksmanship, gunnery and other deployment training. That’s because the unit will continue to train and reset for the next deployment, even as it serves in its CCMRF mission.
Should personnel be needed at an earthquake in California, for example, all or part of the brigade could be scrambled there, depending on the extent of the need and the specialties involved.
Other branches included
The active Army’s new dwell-time mission is part of a NorthCom and DOD response package.
Active-duty soldiers will be part of a force that includes elements from other military branches and dedicated National Guard Weapons of Mass Destruction-Civil Support Teams.
A final mission rehearsal exercise is scheduled for mid-September at Fort Stewart and will be run by Joint Task Force Civil Support, a unit based out of Fort Monroe, Va., that will coordinate and evaluate the interservice event.
In addition to 1st BCT, other Army units will take part in the two-week training exercise, including elements of the 1st Medical Brigade out of Fort Hood, Texas, and the 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade from Fort Bragg, N.C.
There also will be Air Force engineer and medical units, the Marine Corps Chemical, Biological Initial Reaction Force, a Navy weather team and members of the Defense Logistics Agency and the Defense Threat Reduction Agency.
One of the things Vogler said they’ll be looking at is communications capabilities between the services.
“It is a concern, and we’re trying to check that and one of the ways we do that is by having these sorts of exercises. Leading up to this, we are going to rehearse and set up some of the communications systems to make sure we have interoperability,” he said.
“I don’t know what America’s overall plan is — I just know that 24 hours a day, seven days a week, there are soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines that are standing by to come and help if they’re called,” Cloutier said. “It makes me feel good as an American to know that my country has dedicated a force to come in and help the people at home.”

What must God be thinking of us?

Reading through Vaughnshire Farm blog- I must say that I agree so much with most everything I read on this blog. I do feel like God helped me find their blog-((since I have been reading and learning more about the women's role according to God and His Words from the Bible.)) I find that this is an area that most women don't know anything about-which seems very odd to me! I remember learning about women's rights in school. No one dared tell us the dirty evil side of this movement, or explain how "these brave women" changed my life, not so much for the better!. Now the more I learn, the more I see the real need to fight for women's rights. (not the right to vote or be president - but the right to stay home with my children, breast feed my babies, train as needed, and tend to the health of my family)
With all the buzz about Mrs. Palin, I have been very moved on how fellow Brother and Sisters in Christ have responded. Moved to sometimes tears (not of joy, but of a broken heart) other times I almost feel anger. Why anger? Because I am shocked at how Christians are playing this game of politics. Totally turning against what God has told us, for, what they call - HOPE!? I am left shocked, disgusted, and mournful. I wonder why we still teach about Eve being lead astray from God and her husband, while at the same time we so easily, almost joyfully, go astray ourselves. ----So I wanted to share what Beth from Vaughnshire Farm posted. Very well said, I must say. And If you feel "fed" from this portion on her post I encourage you to visit the link (listed on blogs that I follow, to the side) Read some more post and you will have some real "meat" to chew on!
Sarah is 44 and the mother of 5 children –19 years old and under. She
gave birth to a premature special needs newborn in April and returned to work 3
days after he was born. Now her 17 year old unmarried daughter
is 5 months pregnant and Sarah’s husband is…well, a stay-at-home
dad while Sarah parades around the country pursuing political fame.
Sarah says she can raise her children and run the nation and reading her flaming
feminist rhetoric is enough to send chills down my back.
Why doesn’t
this sound bizarre to the Christian community is the question I keep asking
myself? It is further proof that the majority of the Christian community
is so watered down in the sludge of cultural thought and gripped around the neck
by the lies of feminism, they can’t determine heads from tails if they
tried.
R.L. Dabney once quipped, “…when the mother shall have found
another sphere than her home for her energies; when she shall have exchanged the
sweet charities of domestic love and sympathy for the fierce passions of the
hustings (or politics); when families shall be disrupted at the caprice of
either party, and the children scattered as foundlings from their hearthstone,
it requires no wisdom to see that a race of sons will be reared nearer akin to
devils than to men. In the hands of such a bastard progeny, without
discipline, without homes, without a God, the last remains of social order will
speedily perish, and society will be overwhelmed in savage
anarchy.”
God does not mince words when He states his desires for
His women and places upon them the honored place and sphere that only a
woman can fill. Many choose to overlook the fact that He has already given
a clear picture of how we as women are to conduct ourselves as
pleasing servants of the Lord first and foremost. Titus 2:4-5
states, “That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their
husbands, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste, keepers at
home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not
blasphemed.”
Dabney goes on to say, …”the very traits which fit her to be the
angel of a virtuous home unfit her to meet the agitations of political life,
even as safely as does the more rugged man. The hot glare of publicity and
passion will speedily deflower her delicacy and sweetness. Those
temptations, which her Maker did not form her to bear, will debauch her heart,
developing a character as much more repulsive than that of the debauched man as
the fall has been greater. The politicating woman, unsexed and
denaturalized, shorn of the true glory of her femininity, will appear to men as
a feeble hybrid manikin dwarf, with all the defects and none of the strength of
the male. Instead of being the dear object of his chivalrous affection,
she becomes his importunate rival, despised without being feared!”

Homeschool news

We have all heard a little bit about the news of homeschooling troubles in California. It's illegal, got overturned by it's not illegal. So What is the final outcome?
A California appeals court has ruled homeschooling of children illegal unless their parents have teaching credentials from the state. (The court overturned a lower courts finding that homeschooling did not constitute a violation o child welfare laws.)
This leaves the roughly 166,000 homeschooling children's parents at risk of arrest and criminal prosecution. ((you might take a moment to remind yourself that this is in America,,, not some other country were the government leaders are dictators!))
Justice H. Walter Croskey said, "parents do not have Constitutional right to homeschool their children." Croskey also wrote, " A primary purpose of the educational system is to train children in good citizenship, patriotism and loyalty to the state and the nation."
According to executive director of Children's Law Center of Los Angels, Leslie Heimov,(whom is pleased with the court findings) "Children should not be educated at home, because they need to be - in a place daily where they would be observed by people who had a duty to ensure their ongoing safety."

I guess I don't understand why parents can't teach "citizenship, patriotism, and loyalty". And what is that about "observing to ensure their safety"?? How do they figure that it is not a Constitutional Right? Is this for real? This should outrage Americans, even if you don't homeschool. What are each of us going to do about this??? It could be your children next, and maybe what you feel is best for your children or family will be judged unconstitutional.

Turn to God,

Can we look to God to reach out and help our America? Can we as Americans, go along with our lives, doing what we have planned for the day, not taking the time to seek and learn what is really going on in our America. Is it not our DUTY as Americans and Christians, to learn and teach one another?
Our homes are torn apart, our churches have become weak, our schools teach lies, our food is not safe, our air is sprayed with chemicals, our water is giving us cancer, our money is worth next to nothing, our health looks to men and women in white coats, our girls are fighting in wars, our men look to women to take up the slack, our moms go to work, and our children have no idea what they are missing!
"We do marriage according to Dr. Phil, raise our children according to Dr. Spock, govern our sex lives according to Dr. Ruth, and only run to Dr. Jesus when things have gotten so bad we can't find another doctor to help us." (Voddie Baucham JR. Family Driven Faith)

What is my point??? I feel like, from the news I have, and the lies I know the public is being fed, some things are about to happen in our America that will leave us shocked. I urge people to be prepared. Should you pray,,,, please do, but don't just pray,,,, take action. God strengthens us through prayer,,,,,, much action is needed. I tell you this out of love,,. Our America is going to take a turn away from what we are use to,,,,,,how has this happened? Maybe a lack of God. A lack of men being men, women being women, our voted statesmen, Not being statesmen. The real answers lies with us. We the people have let this happen to our great America,,,, and we the people are the ones who need to stop turning to men in government to tell us how to live. We have the Bible, from our great God,,,,,,, why are we looking to man? We as Christians have left God out of our homes, our schools and in many ways our churches. How can we be shocked about what this brings?
My prayer is that we will pray, seek God's will, and take action!
If you like and approve of what is happening in America, go ahead and correct me,,show me how I am wrong,,,, if not seek truth and fight for God.
